The Gikuyu Council of Elders and the Kikuyu Cultural Association (Kiama kia Ma) have threatened to cast a bad spell on  Member of Parliament Milly Odhiambo of Mbita for her insults on President Uhuru Kenyatta if she and the Luo Council of Elders do not apologize within seven days.

The two groupings gave the MP a seven day ultimatum to officially apologize to the head of state failure to which they will carry out a ritual to curse her. “We hereby give the Luo Council of Elders a seven day ultimatum to come and offer an official apology on behalf of the community and on behalf of Milly Odhiambo, failure to which we are going to perform a ritual and they will see the results,” Kiama kia Ma national chairperson Kigochi Waimiri said at a press conference in Nakuru Town this morning.

Mr Waimiri said that by abusing the president, Ms Odhiambo was not only insulting the office of the presidency but also the Gikuyu community and all Kenyans who had voted for him. “By abusing the president, she did not only insult him but the Gikuyu community and the people of Kenya who woke up early in the morning on March 4, 2013 to vote for him,” said Mr Waimiri.

The elder said that Uhuru’s leadership was endorsed by God and should therefore be respected. “There is no king who can be in office without the approval of God and therefore people should respect the president,” he said.
